Women's western belts
The Western spirit, revisited with French flair. Maison Boinet Western belts embrace the iconic codes of the genre and reinterpret them with the expertise and elegance that characterize the House. Handcrafted in Château-Renault, France, they bring a touch of character and audacity to all outfits, from denim to dressed-up looks. For those who own their style, right down to their belt.

The women's western belt, a French take on the country spirit
Born on the ranches of the American West, where it served as both workwear and a symbol, the Western belt has evolved over the decades into a true fashion accessory. Whether called a Western belt or a women's cowboy belt, Maison Boinet preserves its most recognizable codes: the ornate buckle, the keeper, and the metal tip that frame the strap.
The Maison Boinet women's Western belt offers a more refined take: slim to medium widths, leathers chosen for their texture, and gold, silver, or bronze metal finishes. Just enough character to add a twist to a simple outfit, without ever looking like a costume.

Three ways to wear a western belt
You don't need a head-to-toe country look to adopt a western belt: it is an accessory that, all on its own, is enough to add character to a simple outfit.
• With jeans: the classic choice. Straight or flared jeans, a white shirt or t-shirt, and a tan or brown leather western belt for a casual, urban look.
• With a bohemian dress: worn at the waist over a long, flowing dress, a slim nubuck leather belt defines the silhouette and adds a graphic touch to the dress's romantic style.
• In a total look: for the more daring, a cowhide or leopard-print style with boots and a denim or suede jacket, for an unapologetic, contemporary western aesthetic.
Keep in mind: the simpler the outfit, the bolder the belt can be.

Buckles, loops, and tips: metal details designed to last
The western belt asserts its identity through its metalwork. Depending on the model, the collection offers:
• A single buckle in a gold-tone finish, for a sober version that can be worn every day;
• A set featuring a buckle, keeper, and tip in gold or silver-tone metal, the most recognizable signature of the western style;
• Bronze-finish metalwork, for a more vintage touch;
• Gold-tone metal eyelets that punctuate the strap, for the most ornate version in the collection.
The metal elements are attached to the strap by hand and, like all our belts, come with a 2-year Maison Boinet guarantee.

Choosing the right size for your western belt
Maison Boinet western belts are available from 70 to 100cm.
To estimate your size accurately, follow this simple rule: belt size worn at the waist = trouser size x2 (rounded up to the nearest available size), and belt size worn at the hips = "waist size" + 10cm.
For example, for size 36 trousers, this results in 75cm for the waist and 85cm for the hips.
Please note that this method is only an estimate: for a perfect fit, it is best to measure yourself directly with a tape measure, from the start of the buckle to the middle hole of the belt.

Leathers with character, crafted in Château-Renault
All our western belts are made from genuine cowhide, with a variety of finishes: nubuck leather with a velvety feel, smooth or nappa leather for a sharper look, more structured box-calf leather, or vegetable-tanned, unlined leather that will develop a patina over time and gain character with every wear. For those who love bolder pieces, cow print or leopard print finishes fully embrace the western spirit.
Each piece is handcrafted in our Château-Renault workshop, where the House, awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label since 2014, has been working with leather since 1930, using precise techniques such as edge beveling and multi-layer dyeing.

Caring for leather and metal hardware
A soft, slightly damp cloth is sufficient for routine cleaning of leather, and a suitable nourishing cream, applied occasionally, will preserve its suppleness. Nubuck leather is best maintained with a soft brush, without using any oily creams. Metal components should be cleaned with a dry cloth, avoiding abrasive products that could damage their finish.
It is best to store your belt in a dry place, away from direct light, without folding it in the same place every time, and to avoid wearing it two days in a row to allow it time to regain its shape.
How can you wear a women's western belt every day without the look being too intense?
The simplest way is to wear it with a sober outfit (jeans, white shirt, solid-colored sweater) and let the belt be the only western element of the outfit. A slim model in havana or brown leather with a gold buckle remains easy to pair on a daily basis.
Which size of women's western belt should I choose compared to my pants size?
Count your pants size x2 (rounded up to the next available size) for wearing at the waist, and add 10cm for wearing at the hips. Our western belts are available from 70 to 100cm. For a perfect result, measure yourself with a tape measure, from the start of the buckle to the middle hole.
What types of buckles and finishes does the women's western belt collection offer?
Depending on the model: a single gold metal buckle, a set including buckle, loop, and tip in gold or silver metal, bronze-finish hardware, or gold metal eyelets on the strap. All hardware is hand-attached in Château-Renault.
Can a women's western belt be worn only with jeans or also with a dress?
It also pairs very well with a dress. A slim width (15 or 20mm), worn at the waist, structures a long, flowing dress or a shirt dress by adding a touch of character.
How do you match the color of a women's western belt to your boots and your outfit?
A havana or brown belt goes with camel, cognac, or brown boots; a black belt with black boots, for a rockier look. Cow or leopard prints are best worn with solid-colored boots and clothing.
Can you wear a women's western belt for a bohemian wedding or a country-themed party?
Yes: on a bohemian dress, a slim belt in nubuck or smooth leather with a gold buckle defines the waist with elegance. For a country party, a model with metal loop and tip or a cow print embraces the western spirit more fully.
Is the hardware on a Maison Boinet western belt durable over time?
The buckles, loops, and tips are hand-attached in our Château-Renault workshop, according to the same high standards as the rest of the collection, and our belts come with a 2-year warranty.
What is the difference between a women's western belt and a men's cowboy belt?
The men's cowboy belt is traditionally wider, with a more imposing buckle. The Maison Boinet women's western belt uses the same codes (detailed buckle, metal loop and tip) in slimmer proportions, from 15 to 30mm, to accentuate the silhouette.
What is the price of a Maison Boinet women's western belt?
The models in the collection are priced between €125 and €275 depending on the leather, width, and hardware.
